About:

Being an individual constantly searching for a challenge or a cause I became interested at once when my guidance counselor told me about the HCS program. I was interviewed by Dr. Sat who was very interested to hear the details of my life and education. I was assigned to work in Montefiore Medical Center. My project studies Glucose metabolism in HIV infected Drug Users. Most of my time I spent observing interviews, Entering Data and several tasks that were 
of high importance to this research project. I found my research project to be different from most of the others in that my study directly impacts the entire field of HIV research and that I am not necessarily working in a lab on some cellular specimens but I am glad because I am very used to working in a lab setting and the change in work settings had me interested in the study being that it was a new experience altogether.
