Topic: The Dissolution Rate of Vitamin C into the Bloodstream

My name is Oscar Camilo, and I am a first year student in the program, I am now 16 and will be becoming a senior. I work in the Research Pharmacy with Dr. Mark Klang. In the lab my mentor and I had checked for the stability of drugs in the human body. I aided in the experiments by using formulas and equipment in the lab to create such essentials as simulated gastric fluid.
In the interview Dr. Sat had asked me several questions of my academic classes and goals I wanted to achieve in my far and present future. In my research project I had to check the absorption rate of vitamin C oral mediation to test to see which the best was. I also had taken the time to run my own test pill against the major name brand medication. For the majority of the project my mentor had helped me greatly in my experiments and wording of the project.
Every Monday and Friday there were meetings in which the students in the program would present their findings to their project and their studies. On average two or three people would present their findings in front of all the students in a power point presentation. This experience has helped me by introducing me to a more educational and rounded science. By the students presenting their findings to everyone; I now have a better understanding of the fields that were mentioned.
